It's been reported in the May issue of "Scientific American" that the
pumpkin which has been sitting atop the Cornell Law Library since last fall
has finally fallen off and been confirmed to be a... pumpkin. There's even
a picture of the offending pumpkin. The culprit who performed the daring
act of getting this pumpkin up the spire is still unidentified. Had this
old library been built underground, this could never have occurred.
