I don't believe this is correct. [Admittedly, I've done a lot more
installs with AIC-7880 on the motherboard rather than on an AHA-2940 card,
but it's the same driver.] If NT detects the device, it's because it has a
driver for it that ships with the OS, and it will install it.
The only installs where I havew had to provide a SCSI driver between the
second and third floppy have been where the on-board controller was an AIC-
7890 (U2W), not supported by the usual 7880/2940 driver.
