Hello

I just changed from an ESS 1638 sound card to a Soundblaster Live Value
card.. (early prezzy from Santa).

The difference in sound clarity & quality is very good.........but
i only get about half the volume / power.  Is this normal ?? I'm sure
the new card is installed & configured properly 'cos everything works
well..it's just that i've got to wind the speaker volume knob up to
almost full vol. to get the same sound level as when it was set at about
50% with the old card.
I have checked the volume settings in Control Panel / Play Control /
Volume and they are ok.
