Wendy,
I took the same test last month for my pregnancy (I'm
32 weeks now). Sorry I can't say anything to help you
because I didn't have any reaction to the beverage.
Mine was an orange carbonated drink that tasted like
very sweet orange soda. I'm assuming this is the
standard.

I've been LI for 9 years and have had this test one
other time since I became LI. It was the prolonged
version of the test and I do remember that after the
initial blood draw, I vomitted, which ended the test.
I assumed it was just a reaction to drinking something
so sweet and carbonated in such a short amount of
time. I didn't have any of the usual symptoms that I
do when I eat anything with dairy.

Sorry I couldn't be of much help. I hope that you
don't have to take it again, but if you do, I hope you
don't have the same reaction. It sounded like a
terrible experience.

BTW, congratulations!
Suzanne
