I have an associate who has been advised by a home inspector that the floor
tiles in his basement "may contain" asbestos (installed pre-1960). Rather than
confirm presence of the big "A" and be forced to remove the floor, we are
considering painting with polyurethane deck enamel to protect/encapsulate the
stuff. Anyone have a similar experience? Any suggestions?

Thanks and Happy New Year
