Some unverified statistics we've heard:
Percentage of slab-on-grade flooring installations that fail: 25%
Percentage of coating failures attributed to poor surface preparation: 85%
Percentage of coating failures attributed to improper proportioning,
mixing, application, application conditions: 10%
Percentage of coating failures due to product defects: <1%
Do these sound realistic?
To this list, we would be inclined to add a category for failure to solve
underlying causes of deterioration, but could not accurately estimate a
percentage.
