Your backup system is nothing more than a tape recorder. As long as it's
software can deal with long file names (and it can) then you have no
problems recording the backup.

This __should__ not be a problem, provided the tape software's restore
routine can be run from a DOS prompt. Again, it is basically a tape
recorder playing back whatever was recorded.
