Holli,
How large is your audience and how far away from the "screen"
will they be?
LCD projectors are only good for VERY SMALL audiences -- I would
estimate 10 or less. The displayed image is very dim, washed out,
and fuzzy.
For the last two years, in my classroom at the college, I used
a video converter which sent the output to a 27" TV on a stand.
It worked well but is not very portable.
This year they have replaced it with a projection system by
a company called PROXIMA. It is similar to the old 35mm slide
projectors but has a much brighter bulb. The unit is not
much larger than the old 35mm projector either. It is the
best system I have seen so far. VERY bright, clear and crisp
imaging. I've even taken it on several "road shows" -- quick
and easy to setup with a notebook.
If you want more details, I can find out tomorrow.
