Has anyone found a good totally non-dairy "cheese"?

hi jen -

my local cheese guru swears there is no non-dairy cheese that tastes good, and from my little bit of sampling, i have to agree. i can't have casein either, and the totally dairy free cheeses i've tried all taste like some variation of kraft sliced american cheese. i don't mean to malign this product, but for those of us who once appreciated the taste of a really good cheese, it now may have to be another savored memory. (my other favorite memories include bagels and challah, since i'm gluten intolerant).
