I just spoke to the quality production person at Lifestream who said that
the following products are g/f:
Buckwheat Wildberry Waffles
Corn Puffs
Millet Puffs
Honeyed Corn Flakes (under the Nature's Path name)
Mesa Sunrise Cereal (also Nature's Path)
He said that all the products marketed under the Lifestream label are
organic, and the ones marketed as Nature's Path are natural. He also said
that the farm that grows the buckwheat grows only buckwheat in that field
and that they harvest only from the middle of the field for Lifestream;
thereby assuring that no cross-contamination occurs.
He also advised that they follow the Canadian guidelines for gluten free
and do use amaranth & quinoa in some of their products.
Needless to say, I called specifically about their corn puffs after having
spent over four years thinking I was allergic to corn thanks to eating
Arrowhead Mills' corn puffs, which turned out to not be gluten free,
although the labelling listed the ingredients only as corn.
I've no interest in Lifestream other than as a celiac looking for foods I
can eat.
