My MS Natural Keyboard came with an adapter that converts from the
mini-DIN PS/2 connector to the 5-pin DIN "AT"-style connector which
most of my machines use. I see such adapters pretty regularly at
Fry's, for (I believe) less than $5.
My KVM supports only PS/2 mouse and keyboard devices, but between the
KVM and the computers it supports both AT and PS/2 keyboard
connections, and both serial and PS/2 mouse connections. So I'd expect
there to be a way to connect your KVM to her keyboard port....
WARNING: Some KVMs use "extender" cables (male-to-female) and others
use "switchbox" cables (male-to-male); determine which you need before
you go shopping!
