This is probably a result of a program such as a screen saver, TSR (terminate
and stay resident program - usually docked to the task bar) or MS Office "Fast
Find" changing the contents of your hard disk drive. This activity will
restart the defrag program and eventually give you this error message.

I recommend that you stop/close all programs that are not essential and pause
any services ( i.e. MS Office "Fast Find") and then start the defrag utility.

Good Luck,

Richard Linane

Subject: [PCBUILD] Defrag problem

Hello All !
Can anyone tell me why when I am defragging ,it keeps saying
"drive contents changing re-starting"?
this is causing the process to take forever !
I have already disabled Norton anti-virus and pretty much everything else
is turned off
 home built system...
Win 98, P200, TX mobo, 64 mb ram, 6.4gb fujitsu hdd, cable modem, everything
else pretty generic
TIA
