Hi.

If you have an old PC with only one IDE, you have to do so.

If you have the common case of one HD and one CD, and two
IDE's, put HD on primary, and CD on secondary, unless you
want IRQ15 for something else (disabling secondary).

If you have several HD's and or CD's, and you want different
PIO devices on the same IDE, I think to remember that the
Intel TX chipset can address them without speed penalty for
the fastest one, but the chipset specification should be
checked (and the same for other chipsets).

So my question is: Should a CDROM drive be connected (if
possible)
as Secondary Slave in the Secondary IDE Channel when the
master
HDD is at the primary IDE channel?
