I asked if anyone knew of a source for apple fiber. I had been using it
instead of oat bran in muffins. Several people asked for the muffin recipes.
My husband has high cholesterol ( mine was always super-low, probably because
of the undiagnosed celiac disease). I use oat bran recipes from the book "The
8-Week Cholesterol Cure" by Robert Kowalski. I particularly like the apple
fiber in his apple cinnamon muffin recipe.
One wonderful person did some research and tracked down a source for apple
fiber. I just called and ordered a 10 pound bag from: Discount Natural
Foods, 2120 Burnet Ave., Syracuse NY 13206. Their phone number is
1-800-541-1121. The cost was $20 plus $5 shipping.
