Okay, so maybe I've become an addict. :)
I was at the HF store today looking for some more honey, and saw the many
varieties (wild flowers, fireweed, etc.). I wonder how they are
produced? The funny thing is all these varieities come from the same
region so logically the bees should be producing honey from a mixture of
different flowers. How is it done? Which varieties may be best? Is is
true that the darker the color the better the taste (and the stop possibly)?
Also, I bought some whitish looking (as it should be I think)
NON-FILTERED or BRUT honey today (in a much more "solid" state than other
types). What is it exactly and is it better or worst in terms of how
natural or raw it might be?
Also have some honey comb, delicious but expensive. Though the actual
"comb" part doesn't taste anything (felt like plastic in my mouth), when
no honey is in it. Oh well, it was still good...
