Memphis has an alley that is a vacation spot. It is pretty much right
outside the front door of the Peabody Hotel on Union Avenue; half a block
north is Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous, world-renowned for their dry ribs, and
famed as a celebrity pit-stop...lots of signed head shots on the walls
extolling the good time that was had.
Indianapolis has done a great job with tourism promotion through sports...I
think the promotion of alleys as a vacation spot is brilliant. Linear
croquet, trash can dodgem, the possibilities are endless. Good luck to you.
