In light of our recent discussions on "Why Preserve," I wonder if you folks
might have any insight into this.

By the way, B.Lufkin just joined the BP list. Welcome!

I am pulling together information for our local nonprofit preservation
organization's annual business leaders' breakfast on the economics of
preservation. I'm familiar with the many excellent Rypkema studies, the
National Trust publications and the recent New Jersey study. Our local
input-output economists feel that there's not much validity to an economic
argument for preservation and that we should stick to cultural and
aesthetic arguments. Any ideas?
