I have many parallel port devices (three scanners, video camera, Zip drive,
and
printers) and have found that all have tolerated the EPP setting, but the ECP
setting is very "iffy" on several. I have set my three PC's to EPP and have
had no problems, and I often move the devices around. This seem to be a good
compromise between speed, stability and device support.
