There are regular and extra strength versions available.  I use the
regular strength that has 400mg of elemental Calcium  in 2 tablets.
There is 500mg of Calcium Carbonate in 1 tablet.

On the absorption issue, I've asked several of my doctors - most recently
my OB.  His comment was that Tums are a pretty lame antacid and taking a
few a day should not change the acicity of your stomach enough to cause a
problem.  This was pretty much the same answer my GP gave me also.
