Italiano:  schernire vt. to mock, sneer at.
           scherno sm  mockery, derision.

Io non es secur del prototypo de italiano schernire e scherno.  Es le
   origine le OF escarn, o le OHG scern?  le e- possibilemente es un
   idiosyncratia del francese e le espaniol.  Piet? Vos ha un bon
   dictionario etymologic del italiano....
