Started building a garden shed out back this past weekend &
Came upon proof that the universe is indeed expanding.

When did the ground get so farther from my knees?
Who decided to add the weight to that former extension of my
arm- the worm drive?
How much longer is a 16d nail?
When did they figure out how to put 60 lbs. in a 40-lb. sack
of cement?
How water logged was the plywood?

Of course, I did notice one exception to the evident
expansion-
Why is a 2x4 plate so much skinnier when I’m standing on it?

Oh I’m sorry it’s my feet that are expanding.
