Neither as client, nor as architect do I have a problem with your (Ken)
expectations.  I especially appreciate your giving me a little time to
consider change orders.  Sometimes I need a second opinion...ususally on what
the contract says on the subject of the change order.

Generally I do not want to work with someone who is unclear, no matter the
role.
