I have great respect for the people who want to walk into the wilderness as their last act to die
with nature. I love nature. I also love living right now. I want to live for the moment, enjoy
the day to the fullest, and have lots more days like this one to enjoy.

Old people don't get the respect they deserve in our society. They become a burden in the eyes of
Americans, and are often shuffled off to old folks homes. The children are sad, but feel they
have no alternative. They should have their parents living with them (as in HG groups BTW). If
they can't take care of them then they need to check their priorities.

If the benefits of CR pan out as they should, due to overwhelming evidence, this problem will
almost go away. I am serious. Wouldn't you rather die at age 95 from a surfing accident, or age
110 from a simple flu virus than start withering away slowly starting in your late 60's-70's? The
average age in the US is about 75 or so. By this age most people are becoming physically and/or
mentally impaired. If we follow balanced diet (CR with paleo diet as the best choice, IMO) I
believe it will help our society tremendously.

James
