That's great, but this isn't the "get healthy" list, this it the
"Paleolithic Eating Support List". So... if it's not in keeping with the
idea of paleolithic eating, it's out of place here. The discussions about
wine were more arguments for and against, in the context that it could be
argued that alcohol was or was not available to the paleolithic person.
Recommendations of supplements and dairy products are not arguable here,
they are completely outside the scope of paleolithic eating. Dairy could
be discussed in a neolithic context, but neolithic is not paleolithic.
Supplements are thought to be unnecessary if one eats a varied enough
"paleolithic" diet. And they definitely were not available in paleolithic
times.

Here's the issue: sure we could open the list up to discussing "anything
people think will make them healthy". In no time flat, we might as well
change the name of the list to the Tower of Babel support list, because
there is a different idea of what people think will make them healthy for
each person that exists these days! If that's the kind of list you're
looking for, you might want to look into starting one of your own, but
please don't try to do it here. The assumption when you subscribe to this
particular list is that you've come to the conclusion that paleolithic
eating (or the closest approximation thereof that is possible in this day
and age) IS what would make you healthy. If you've joined this list to
change people's minds, well, I don't speak for anyone else, but personally
I'm not interested.

If this list is going to fan out in other directions, I'll certainly
unsubscribe. This is a great list when it's focused on paleolithic eating,
but lately it's looking more and more like the lowcarb list.

Take care,
John Pavao

Why are people more interested in sticking to a diet than making themselves
well?

The point is to be healthy.
