Hi all!

I have a question for all paleofooders and low-carb
enthusiasts :-)
A friend of mine switched from a nearly vegetarian diet
to a neanderthin-like diet (some milk products) four month ago.
Two weeks ago she suddenly had severe pain
attacks in the stomach area and was diagnosed with an exocrin
pancreatic insufficiency. She was told that one of the major reasons for such
would be a diet rich of proteins and fat. Now she is rather scared
and thinks of returning to her former vegetarian regimen.
I've never heard of pancreatic disorders due to protein-rich diet.
Ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Sincerely, Sylvia
