Hmmm. You mentioned that you went beyond the stop on the chocolate. That's
curious since this is an example of a denatured food giving you a clear
stop. ;) Perhaps your troubles were because you overate the chocolate?
Perhaps they were psychosomatic since you were probably worried about bad
reactions (and/or feeling "guilty" for eating it)? Chocolate may well not
agree with you, but there may be other factors.

Chocolate is supposed to be pretty complex stuff, but why not turn it into
a dairy/gluten issue, eh? ;)

You have eaten carob pods and/or cassia which tastes like chocolate, no?
