You, my friend, are a very fortunate man, to be lucky enough to be able
to take this perspective. :)  There are many people, most people in
fact, for whom $300 is never to be found; since there often isn't enough
money even to buy food, or pay rent, or utility bills, or bus fare. That
is the way _most_ people live. And that gives a different perspective on
how much $300 feels like!

I think it all has to do with who you live among, work with, who your
family is, which people are in your life, and so on - in other words
which group of people you use as a frame of reference.

My own 'frame of reference' group of family, friends and neighbors,
would consider $300 IMPOSSIBLY high.
