You can download the updater from:

ftp://ftp.usr.com/pub/usr/dl07/setup.exe

It will update the USR's flash to support V.90 and X2. The update
does not cost anything, but you do pay long distance to somewhere in
the US for a call that lasts only 3-4 minutes(at least for me). The
updater is about 1.2 MB to download and supports Courier, Sporster
and Winmodem models.
