How do I access the SETUP screen to check or set system parameters?

1.  If the Copyright Date is 1987 or Earlier

If the latest copyright date on the bootup screen is 1987 or earlier,
your BIOS does not have the Setup facility built-in. The SETUP.EXE
file can also be obtained via anonymous FTP at:

2.  If You Are Prompted to Run Setup and Press F1 to Continue

If you see an error message that advises you of an invalid configuration
and asks you to run Setup, then displays an F1 To Continue or F1 To
Retry Boot message, then you do not have Setup built in. See What If I
Don't Have Built In Setup, below. If the message is F1 To Continue,
F2 to run SETUP, then simply press F2 to run Setup.

3.  Hotkey Access
-----------------------
The Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS and PhoenixBIOS Ax86 products which
have Setup built in usually allow Setup to be invoked via a "hotkey"
sequence.
After the system has completed the memory and floppy disk check:

        press and hold the CTRL and ALT keys, then press
        either the S or ESC key. This should also work from
        the DOS prompt

4.  Forcing the System into Setup
-------------------------------------------
If you have a newer (1989 or later) system, and the hotkeys don't work,
try forcing a configuration error to get into Setup. First, turn your system
off. Then disconnect the ribbon cable that goes to your first, or A: floppy
disk drive. Turn the power on. The system should complain about the
floppy drive, then complain about a configuration error, and give you an
F1 To Continue... error message, as described above.
