Lynton, like yourself I am new to eating (RAF) raw animal foods, and I
am curious to know what your daily RAF meal consists of. Having been a
long-time vegetarian I am still very squeamish about eating meat, raw
or cooked, and I need all the inspiration I can get. For lunch today I
had a raw halibut pate. In my Cuisinart I put the following:
1/3 lb of halibut
Three stalks of broccoli
Three montebello mushrooms
A handful of spinach
1/2 handful of dulse
Two green onions
I served it with lemon juice, parsley and one 1/2 tomato. It did not
taste too bad - which is a pretty good coming from me. :-) For the past
two days I have been having some lightly steamed (3-4 minutes) halibut
for lunch which tastes better but leaving me feeling completely drained
afterwards. If this means that eating the halibut is hard on my system
because it is cooked or if it means that I am temporarily short of
certain digestive juices that I need to digest it cooked I do not know.
A third unknown possibility - Kirt's joke about the mathematician and
the sheep comes to mind :-) - I am sure is also very probable.
Best, Peter
