Well, unfortunately the few e-mails I had were deleted, except the
following, translated from French (from a cooked-fooder):
I am 46, and when I was 23, I decided to go to a fast, just by
scientific curiosity. I was on vacation and had nothing special to do.
I was in good health and I observed the effects of fasting on my body.
During 3 weeks, I only drank pure water, no sugar, no food. It became
necessary to sleep and to rest more. The length of daily activity
reduced little by little. I lost 14 kg, although I was rather thin
at the beginning: 1.83 m and 68 kg [Note: 6 ft, 150 lbs]. After 3
weeks, I could still ride my motorbike and walk several hours a day.
I estimate that 4 hours of physical activity a day are possible after
3 weeks fasting. When I read articles where journalists weep on
the health state of people who are on hunger strike, I am perplex.
When I finally decided to resume eating, I gained 10 kg in a few
days, maybe 4 days.
Another person said, roughly, that after having read books on hygienism,
he went on a 30 days-water fast, followed by a 15 days-juice fast, and
then a raw vegan diet. But 6 months after, he felt very weak, emaciated
and very depressed.
Someone I know personally says that, due to digestive problems, he
could only absorb liquids for 10 days (that was 20 years ago).
That was not so difficult to overcome, except that he was sometimes dizzy
(maybe hypoglycaemia?), and lost sexual drive during the "fast" (which is
understandable). He lost almost 10 pounds (that he never re-gained).
Now, he is thin (but not skeletal). He eats 100% cooked.
Best wishes,
Jean-Louis
