Hello

Question. A friend called me over tonight to get their HP printer going
again. I did the usual power/cable check, deleted duplicated drivers and
then all drivers with the intention of reinstalling. I noticed a small
problem, however, when I looked in the Device Manager. No Ports listed
at all! I then booted into Safe Mode and there they were, except both
Com Ports and the LPT 1 were duplicated. I eliminated the duplicates. No
help. I eliminated the LPT 1 entirely. No help and it was not
reinstalled. I then checked the bootlog.txt. There were about 6 or 8
drivers that failed to load and one missing file. I did the shotgun
thing and reinstalled Win 95. No help. Any ideas

TIA, Pete Kettelkamp
