I last left this that I had used ghost to clone my old hd to the new. I
could now load Win95, but Explorer only showed 2 gb of my 6 gb hd.

I used fdisk to examine the drive and it froze trying to create logical
drives. I used wddiag to examine the drive and there were too many bad
sectors on the hd so I returned it to and got my 3rd drive for this
installation.

I was able to install and clone the drive in less than an hour. This
time I used ghost to clone the drive partition to partition instead of
disk to disk.

I have a couple of questions and I'll will be done. I would like to
change the drive designation of the cd rom. It is currently "I" and the
zip (external parallel port) is "H". I would like to reverse these if
possible. I have tried the device mgr, click on cd rom, settings. It
correctly lists the drive on I, but the reserved drive letters are H.
Is there a way to change this or do I have to live with it?

I checked config.sys and I have lastdrive = z, but 2 line later I have
it removed? Could this have anything to do with it?

How long should I wait to erase my old hd? I have tested most of the
major programs and all appear to working. Obviously, I haven't been
able to test all the different parts of all the programs.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice during this and especially to John
Chin for the detailed directions on how to install the hard drive. It
really got me through this.
