Michael,

You will need to run the DDO software that you have (EZ-Drive?) and do the
following:

1) select "other options" from the menu
2) select "change installed features"
3) move the cursor to "controlled by EZ-Drive" and press enter to toggle the
selection to
    "enabled".
4) Now, go back to main menu and select "disable EZ-Drive".
5) Select "uninstall EZ-Drive".
6) Let the BIOS autodetect the drive.

This will remove your DDO.  This exact procedure is for EZ-Drive (by
Microhouse for WD).  Should be pretty similar for other types.
