Friends
In the usual violencebesotted dialogue, we are being entertained by
conjectures about how many (if history is a guide) 100's of thousands of
Iraquis to kill.
But wait, on a back page a day ago, the Chair of the Russian Duma warned that
WWIII was being courted, and now in another obsured note we see that Yeltsin
is also warning. Russia is concerned by this US violence virtually on its
borders, including threats of nuclear bombs (of course undergoing the routine
denialsdenials).

It seems to have been forgotten that Russia has tens of thousands of nuclear
weapons and may feel that if this kind of agression is taken lightly, she
Russia will be next. In fact the very threatening expansion of NATO is
sufficient cause for such alarm, for a prudent person.
