What operating system? If Win9x, does com1 show in Sys Props? If yes, does
the Serial Port Modem on Com 1 show in Sys Props (for Palm top connection)?
If not you will need to reload it. Have you tried putting the mouse on Com 1
and rebooting to see in Win9x will see it and it works on that port? Is you
modem still shown as Com 3?
Basic question, is Com 1 enabled in the BIOS.
