This is a Toshiba Satellite-Pro running OSR2 with 32mb of RAM.

I have found operations such as 'find file' & scrolling in Excel'97
painfully slow.

No problems are shown in Device Manager/Performance, 400mb free on the hard
disk (virtual memory set to use this) & 'Defrag' made little difference.

Suggestions for what to check would be appreciated (I can supply further
details if required).
