Was just working on a Hewlett Packard,Pentium 233Mhz machine

slots but no difference.
Try inserting just ONE of the SIMMs at a time to verify that one is indeed a
64mb SIMM.

Hi,
What may be happening is that only 32MB of the 64MB SIMM is being
recognized, as the other SIMM is only a 32MB SIMM, and the computer "matches"
them to give the necessary 64 bit memory bus (32 bits per SIMM) used in
pentium systems. The other 32MB of memory on the 64MB has no matching memory
on the other SIMM, and is ignored.
Installing another 64MB SIMM in place of the 32 should give you 128MB.
My .02 worth,
Peter Hogan
