Sometimes you can get it legally if you upgrade your system: I got my
copy when I purchased a new hard drive from a computer shop and asked
them to install Win95.

Not exactly true, it's only the Beta 3 version and still has a few
problems that were later worked out, as for instance some (not all)
cable modems.
