  I have heard that the drivers supplied for the STB Velocity 128 are
badly flawed, and some people have reported better stability using
drivers for the Diamond Viper 330 (which uses the same chipset) with
the STB.  [Quake 2, at least, is going to try to switch the card from
2D to 3D, so a driver problem is likely to manifest at this point.]
Something to try, anyway.
