Hi everybody;
Even though the following will be somewhat redundant to what I read in the
archive I would like to contribute a short episode about my experience with
RAF.
The last months I went very high in RAF, especially eggs (about 3 times a
week) and meat once or twice a week. I still had the feeling of need of
protein. Nuts did not satisfy and made my mouth dry after a few. I usually
ate eggs as mono meal because veggies afterwards gave me an inconvenient
full feeling even in small amounts. I ate between 6 and 30 eggs (only once)
in a meal. I did not have any sign of thirst, at the contrary I did not
feel any need for water many hours after the meal even in the morning when
I used to drink I just forgot to do so. My mind was very clear in the
morning and I often had high spirits. But still something was missing. Fish
was not the right thing, it just did not taste. I could eat only very
little meat because it made me a running nose (detox!?).
Eventually I ate some shrimp, just another RAF, I thought, but it turned
out to be a key player in this situation. All in a sudden my eggs I tried
the next day tasted like chicken shit , no sweet smooth taste any more. The
next RAF I ate two days later was meat. No running nose this time but a
firm feeling in my muscles a few hour after the meal. The third meal of
shrimp was not delicious anymore and , the first time in month I became
really thirsty after a meal. I also realized that my finger nails which I
was watching over the last month because I was concerned about my high RAF
intake all in a sudden started to grow much faster (in three days as much
as usually in three weeks). Also the skin at my palms seemed to be dry. I
found RAF a little bit repulsive instead I was very much up for sweets
mainly figs.
BTW I can eat much more Orkos figs (taste like chocolate) than organic ones
which gave me burning sensation after a few. Organic figs are often deep
frozen for very short time (shock freezing) to make them better storable.
This time no overeating of altered foods but a not met demand because of
denaturation?
I never though that one food (shrimp) can have such strong effect. But is
seems all the eggs contained just a small amount of something what I
needed. Just widening my variety a little bit brought down my RAF intake
considerably (no desire for RAF or nuts in the last days at all).
Another thought about shrimp: shrimp is al relatives of insects (copepods?)
and therefore somewhat similar to them. An indication for me that "Bruno's
insect theory" is neglected to easily. Before I ate the shrimp I saw a
movie where Australian aboriginals served three big grubs to a white man.
This made my water run, even though I had never taste those critters.
Obviously there was no smell. Maybe the optical attraction is enough. I
guess as soon some insects show up I go out and get some ants. Catching
grasshoppers is very tedious and it takes hours to get a full meal but ants
should be an easy prey, hopefully.
My conclusion: In the raw framework details seemed to have more importance
than in the cooked universe. This can be an advantage or a disadvantage. To
use the advantage one has to keep open to new ideas even though they seemed
to be strange in the beginning.
Best wishes,
Mike
