I have a client with an IBM Aptiva, using Win95B (Pentium 166, 32MB RAM). It
uses a "soft" power down; that is, in Win95 when you click "shut down the
computer" it turns itself all the way off, rather than stopping at the "It is
now safe to turn off your computer" screen.

I completely reloaded Windows 95 on it three weeks ago, eliminating the IBM
specific software. About one week ago, the computer started turning itself back
on again in the middle of the night. I know the power supply is still "live"
because of the soft power down feature, but I cannot understand what would make
the computer power up again.

Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know why it might be happening? It
"feels" like a hardware issue, but I'm open for any suggestions I can get.
