Hi folks --
Ray Audette responded personally to my question about blood types. The
essence of his reply was, just because your body can "tolerate" certain
foods, i.e. not immediately get sick, doesn't mean that you can eat it day
after day for years without some long-term effect. He went on:
>Even those people who have had agriculture the longest suffer
>from high death rates from auto-immune disorders both today and
>historically.
>
>These foreign proteins produce more problems than compounds formed from
>cooking, preserevation, pesticide use, or even iradiation combined. The
>long medical histories of ancient people document these problems long
>before our more modern technologies came along.
>
>Prof. Bruce Ames (see biblio. in NeanderThin) points out that anything
>organic that in Nature would not be in our bodies is a potential
>carcenogen. How much of these we are exposed to is critical. To produce
>cancer takes ammounts usually aproaching levels (tons) only found by
>ingesting "forbidden fruit" on a daily basis.
Thanks Ray!
