Anyone who wants to use proven methods of intervention has no
business fooling with Neanderthin, since it is in no way a proven
system. On the contrary, it is based on a number of highly
speculative premises. I have no problem with that, since if we
wait for proof we may all be dead before it is available.

Ideally one wants to consider all the evidence that is available
and relevant to what one is doing, and to some extent that is
ongoing on this list. On the other hand, the cultic practice of
ignoring or dismissing evidence that does not fit one's
preconceptions is also a significant part of the dialogue here.

Speaking as one who is *not* a Bible-believing Christian, I
disagree completely. This is a support list, and part of the
support process involves the public thinking through of one's
commitment to this way of eating and living. For some, such as
myself, that thinking through is done in evolutionary terms; for
others it is accomplished in Biblical/theological terms.

The Bible-believing Christians maintained a respectful silence
during evolutionary discussions here; we ought to be able to
return the favor.
