The only reason I see to cook meat is to kill the surface bacteria
(skipping pork). When pan frying it is difficult to get the edges seared.
For a piece of chicken the hot oil of a deep fryer would get into every
crevice and should get it all quickly. A toaster-oven may be useful for a
piece of beef, but no fun to clean.
