I thought that the original interior of the Jewish Museum was destroyed
long before the addition was built. Certainly, when I visited the place,
years ago, I was surprised to see so little of the original architectural
fabric of the interior. But I suppose this is typical of the renovations
of the era when the building was converted from mansion to museum, and
really a separate issue from the addition.

So, what makes the addition a "travesty"? Keep in mind that all I have
seen are small blurry pictures in the newspaper.
