Pam:

You need to find "raw" (read unprocessed) nuts. Try a health food store. I
have found 2 lb. bags of raw almonds, pecans and walnuts at Costco/Sam's Club
for really reasonable prices. I ordered my last batch of macadamia nuts raw
from a site on the web. I don't have the info at work with me, will post that
info tomorrow. The site I ordered from charges 8.00/lb to crack and clean the
nuts. All you get are large, sweet macadamias that have not been roasted or
salted!!! What a treat.
