<< Interesting. I do know that rice cookers can be used to steam vegetables.
 But suggesting a paleo person get one just to do vegetables didn't make
 sense. Are there ones more oriented towards vegetable use than rice? Such
 would be a more acceptable item to have around a paleo kitchen.

I have a Black and Decker steamer /rice cooker. I used to cook rice in it in a
former life but now it only sees veggies. The little rice tray is now on the
top shelf of my cubbard. I find this invaluable for veggies still. About $35.
