Common sense says dried fruits can contribute to tooth decay, especially if
the stickiness is not brushed away (but even if not, since the root causes
of decay like faulty mineral metabolism would not be addressed by dental
hygeine).

Occasionally last year I was trying smoothies including 2 - 3 sun-dried
dates or 2 - 3 tbsp. raw honey (to see if the extra enzymes from these foods
might be of benefit) - but when I noticed a bit of tooth sensetivity I felt
that was a bad sign caused by sugar overload and stopped. I do recall
Bernard Jensen in a book describing prunes as 'a very good food' for some
reason - considering Dr. Jensen's reputation, probably something to do with
enhancing elimination.
