Why is it important?
I regularly eat soaked nuts/seeds, and I have always consumed them with
their soaking water. Should I be throwing this away and rinsing the nuts
and seeds before eating them? I do sometimes notice a slightly bitter taste
(I think this is probably associated with the skins on nuts, rather than
with hulled seeds) and wonder whether this indicates that there may be some
undesirable substances present.
